as i said in the last journal, i got the internship! yesterday i quit the ups store, which was a tremendous weight off my shoulders. i appreciated the opportunity and the training, but it just wasn't where i belonged. i called my new bosses as soon as i had quit and i told them i was ready to start asap.

so on thursday or so, mike asked me to come over to his house on saturday night, but he was unclear as to why. i was talking to my friend (and new boss) brandon on the phone on saturday and he asked what i was doing that night. i told him i was going to mikes, but i didn't know why. brandon told me that he and his wife couldn't come over because they had to do something. so i go over to mikes and were sitting around, bored, and i asked to go somewhere, and he made up some bs excuse as to why we couldn't. mike has been doing the website for precision signs for brandon, and when brandon called, mike said we needed to drop by there to work out some kinks in the website. i'm dumb and i believed them.

when i got over there, they were all enthusiastic and congratulated me. and i didn't get why at first. but then brandon said "this is all for you!" they threw me an effing "congratulations/i'm sorry you have to work with brandon" party! they gave me rainbow flowered leis and i wore them all proud like the whole night. mike bought me my favorite; warsteiner, and brandon made margaritas. they bbq'd a ton of tasty food and then we had a bonfire. mike and his sister came, both my bosses and their wives were there, and several other people i knew through brandon came! i felt very very special.

and so i get to start my new job tomorrow! i am very excited, wish me luck and success!
